INGREDIENTS
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup choco-chips
1-2 tbsp milk
1 cup salt

Cookies are my younger son's favourite. Rather than buying cookies or biscuits from market which are made of 100% maida (all-purpose flour) I prefer to make at home with 100% whole wheat flour. I have written nearly 15 types of cookies recipe all made with 100% whole wheat flour.

After posting egg-less cooker fruit n nut cake and sponge cooker cake I got many mails and messages from followers asking for cookies in cooker. So finally I am here with cookie in cooker. The steps of preparing cookies in cooker are same as preparing in oven.

You just need to keep few things in mind while using cooker for preparing cookie.

1. Spread salt in cooker evenly all over.

2. Pre-heat cooker with salt in it on high flame for 5 minutes.

3. Don't forget to remove gasket (rubber) and whistle of cooker.

4. Cookies take around 10-15 minutes to cook.

6. You can use aluminium or non-stick cake mould but NOT STEEL, cookies will burn in steel utensil.

7. To check cookies are done, always check the base, it should be brown.

METHOD

Take flour and baking powder in a bowl, add softened butter, rub it with your fingertips to get breadcrumb like texture. Add powdered sugar and choco chips. Mix well. Add milk to combine together all the ingredients. Don't knead like atta.

Keep in fridge for 5-10 minutes.

By that time pre-heat cooker with salt in it.

Take any aluminium bowl or cake mould. Grease it with oil or butter. Make small sized round balls from dough and press them flat between your palm.

Keep in bowl, at distant place, allowing them to expand.

Close the cooker WITHOUT GASKET AND WHISTLE.

Reduce the flame to low and let it cook for 10 minutes. Check after 10 minutes, the base should be brown, if not, keep for another 5 minutes. It doesn?t take more than 15 minutes.

Cookies will be very soft and delicate when hot, give it standing time of 10 minutes, it will become crispy.
